Gaming isn’t just a hobby for me—it’s a lens through which I view technology, business, and cultural evolution. I’m Chawki DAIF, born in 2000 in Settat, Morocco, and my journey with video games began before I could even hold a controller properly.
Where It All Started
My earliest gaming memories are from when I was four years old, perched on our living room couch, watching my brothers navigate through the vibrant worlds of the Super Nintendo. Those moments of witnessing Super Mario’s adventures, the intense action of Contra, and the charming challenges of Adventure Island weren’t just entertainment—they were the foundation of a lifelong passion.
The real turning point came with our family’s first Pentium 4 PC. What seemed like a simple computer purchase became my gateway into the technical side of gaming. I spent countless hours researching gaming technology, discovering the fascinating world of console emulation, and understanding how these virtual worlds were built. Back then, my dream was crystal clear: I wanted to be a game developer, specifically at Ubisoft Casablanca (a dream that evolved differently after their closure).
Where I Am Now
Today, I’m pursuing a business degree with a specialization in Digital Marketing, and I’ve discovered that my passion for gaming fits perfectly with my academic pursuits. The video game industry sits at a unique intersection of technology, art, and business—exactly where my interests converge.
